1月のブログに、東京[とうきょう]にある大学[だいがく]で教授[きょうじゅ]がキャンパス内[とうきょう]のトイレで殺害[さつがい]された事件[じけん]について書[か]きました。約[やく]4ヶ月たった今、犯人[はんにん]が捕[つか]まりました。28才の教[おし]え子[ご]だそうです。この男性[だんせい]が学生[がくせい]の時[とき]、小さな研究[けんきゅう]をしてレポートを書[か]くのに、教授[きょうじゅ]に指導[しどう]してもらったそうです。まだ捜査中[そうさちゅう]で詳[くら]しい背景[はいけい]は分[わ]かっていませんが、この男性[だんせい]はその教授[きょうじゅ]を非常[ひじょう]に恨[うら]んでいたようです。前[まえ]もって大学[だいがく]に行[い]き、この教授[きょうじゅ]のスケジュールや授業[じゅぎょう]の様子[ようす]などを調[しら]べたそうですから。
犯人[はんにん]が捕[つか]まってほっとしましたが、教[おし]え子[ご]が犯人[はんにん]だとわかってとても悲[かな]しく思[おも]いました。
I wrote about a murder case which was occurred in January this year – a university professor was murdered on his campus during a semester in Tokyo. Now four months went on and finally a man was arrested. He is 28 year old and the professor’s former student. The man did small research under the professor’s supervision when he was an undergraduate. The case is still under investigation and any background details will be revealed from now on, but the man seems to have a grudge against the professor very very badly. Apparently the man went to the university beforehand to check the professor’s daily schedule, his classes, his office and so on aiming to achieve his revenge.
We are all relieved to hear the news of the arrest, but at the same time it was sad to know that one of his former students was actually responsible for that…
