もう10月なのに、先週[せんしゅう]は本当[ほんとうに]に寒[さむ]かったですね。北島[きたじま]中央部[ちゅうおうぶ]ではたくさん雪[ゆき]が降[ふ]って、道路[どうろ]も不通[ふつう]になったし、ハミルトンも最高[さいこう]気温[きおん]が10度[ど]でした。八重[やえ]桜[ざくら]も満開[まんかい]ですし (yaezakura is puff cherry as the photo above shown. Yae literally means eight layers and sakura, as you know is cherry)、本当[ほんとう]の春[はる]になってほしいです。そうしたら、またお花見[はなみ]がしたいです!!
It was really really cold last week despite that it is October now! There was a lot of snow in the central North Island and quite a few roads were closed. The highest temperature in Hamilton was once just 10 degrees. We have got full bloom of puff cherry and want to TRUE Spring to come! And then we can do Ohanami one more time!!
