少[すこ]し前[まえ]に日本[にほん]のカレーについて書[か]きました。
I wrote about Japanese curry in this blog some time ago.
私[わたし]は日本[にほん]人[じん]だから日本[にほん]のカレーの味[あじ]に慣[な]れていて、それで日本[にほん]のカレーが大好[だいす]きかもしれない、とも思[おも]っていました。しかし! 今日[きょう]このウェブサイトを見[み]て、そうではないことを知[し]りました。このウェブサイトが何[なん]のウェブサイトなのかよく知[し]らないのですが、このブログを書[か]いたアメリカ人は日本[にほん]のカレーを絶賛[ぜっさん]して(zessansuru means to rave) います。NYの新[あたら]しい日本[にほん]のカレーの店[みせ]をとても喜[よろこ]んでいます。
ニュージーランドにも日本[にほん]のカレーの店[みせ]ができればいいんですけどね。でもそれまでは、日本[にほん]のカレールーを買[か]って自分[じぶん]で作[つく]って食[た]べましょう! カレールーはふつうのスーパーで、例えばNew WorldとかFoodtown, Countdownで売[う]っていますよ!
I am Japanese and have got to used to the taste of it; that’s why I love Japanese curry, I thought. But I learnt I was wrong today. I am still not sure the purpose of this site, but on this page the writer of this article is raving how great Japanese curry is! Apparently a Japanese curry shop appeared in New York lately (as of the time the write posted this info there); he seemes truly delighted!
I wish we would have Japanese curry shops in New Zealand. Till then, let’s buy Japanese curry roux (see the photo below, this is the roux looking like) and cook it by ourselves. You can buy the roux at supermarkets here like New World, Foodtown or Countdown. It’s easy to make!
