What a 14 yr boy wants

As you might know, Japanese people really like expensive big name brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada and so on. But I just read a kind of extreme case related to this Japanese  weakness on this site.

この中学生[ちゅうがくせい]はその後[]、警察[けいさつ] (keisatsu is police)に捕[つか]まり(tsukamaru is to be arrested)ました。

A 14 years boy stole a bag from a 81 yr lady which had 500,000 yen (about NZD 8,000). What he did next was to catch a taxi and ask the driver to take him to a Louis Vuitton shop. A 14 yr boy stole money to go to a Louis Vuitton shop!? Anyway the story did not end here.

The taxi driver had a second job which was to sell fake goods of big name brands! The driver offered him to sell “fake” goods which cost less than buying the proper stuff. So the boy paid 30,000 yen to buy a purse, a waist bag, and a key case (all of them “fake” Louis Vuitton) from him.  The boy was arrested last year and the taxi driver, because of the boy’s arrest, was also arrested now.

What a story!!!
