Yahoo Japan

I read a report appeared on YAHOO! Japan about a restaurant of OMURAISU (= omelette + rice).

Do you know anything about OMURAISU (= omelette + rice) or have you eaten this before? Japanese people love OMURAISU. I like it very much. There are quite a few variations but the basic one is like this; you cook fried rice with tomato sauce flavour (we often add pieces of chicken as well), make thin crepe looking like omelette, and then wrap up the rice with the omelette. The photo above is a beautiful dish of OMURAISU. The photo below shows how it is constructed – you can see tomato flavoured rice underneath omelette.

I did not know this until read the article, but there are franchised restaurants of OMURAISU in Japan. The article I read the other day reported a restaurant called “POMU NO KI (A tree of POMME)” Apparently there are 95 restaurants of this  “POMU NO KI” – yes, all of these 95 restaurants serve OMURAISU! It must be popular. If you are interested in “POMU NO KI”, this company has its website.
