今年[ことし]も8月6日がやってきました。65年前[ねんまえ]の今日[きょう]、広島[ひろしま]に原爆[げんばく] (= atomic bomb)がおとされました。今日[きょう]、広島[ひろしま]の平和[へいわ]記念[きねん]公園[こうえん] (= the Peace Memorial Park)では式典[しきてん] (= ceremony)など、さまざまな行事[ぎょうじ]があります。今年[ことし]は、初[はじ]めてその式典[しきてん]にアメリカ駐日[ちゅうにち]大使[たいし] (= U.S. Ambassador)が参列[さんれつ]します(= to participate)。とても大[おお]きなことです。
Here is 6 August again. 65 years ago, an atomic bomb was dropped in Hiroshima. There will be a special ceremony held at the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima. This year, Hiroshima, at the first time, will be joined by U.S. Ambassador at the ceremony. This is a real big deal.
