さっき、ワイカト･タイムズを読[よ]んだら、ニュージーランド人[じん]ゴルファーと日本人[にほんじん]女性[じょせい]の不倫[ふりん] (= an extramarital affair)ニュースがでかでか(= in big size; huge size)と載[の]っていました。
I read Waikato Times and found an article reporting an extramarital affair of a famous NZ golf player (40) with a Japanese young woman (27).
このゴルファーはハミルトンのデビッド･スメイルさんです。日本[にほん]のゴルフ･トーナメントでよい成績[せいせき] (= good results)をあげているそうです。このスメイルさんは奥[おく]さんと子[こ]ども2人がいますが、栗原[くりはら]さとさんという日本人[にほんじん]女性[じょせい]と長[なが]く付[つ]き合[あ]っていた(tsukiau means to have (intimate) relationship)そうです。スメイルさん自身[じしん]はどのくらいの間[あいだ]だったか言[い]わないと言[い]っていて、栗原[くりはら]さんによると、3年間[ねんかん]続[つづ]いたそうです。スメイルさんはこの関係[かんけい] (= relationship)を最近[さいきん]終[お]わることにしたところ、栗原[くりはら]さんからメディアにばらす(= to reveal)、と脅[おど]されて(odosu means to threat)、このたび、ワイカト･タイムズのインタビューを受[う]けることにしたそうです。
今、インターネット検索[けんさく] (= the Internet search)をしてみましたが、日本[にほん]のメディアのどこにもこのニュースがありませんでした。日本[にほん]では、全[まった]く話題[わだい]になって(wadai ni naru means to be talked about; to be picked as news)いないってことでしょうか!?
His name is David Smail from Hamilton. Apparently he has shown good performance in Japanese golf tournaments for many years. Mr Smail is married with two children and had an affair with Ms Sato Kurihara for some time (he did not reveal how long it lasted, but according to Ms Kurihara, it was three year relationship). He terminated the relationship lately and then had been threaten by Ms Kurihara to ruin his life. That’s why he decided to come out now.
I checked Japanese media right now and could not find any single report in any Japanese newspapers… so this is not such a big deal like Tiger Wood’s scandal!?

I read that news a few days ago too. But I didn’t know him at all before reading that on the newspaper. I wonder if he’s well known in NZ too for his golf skills.
