日本[にほん]のマクドナルドで新[あたら]しい特別[とくべつ]ハンバーガー「ビッグ･アメリカ」を明日[あす]から売[う]るそうです。
McDonald’s Japan will sell new special hamburgers called Big America from tomorrow.
その「ビッグ･アメリカ」ハンバーガーは4種類[しゅるい]あって、それぞれテキサス2、アイダホ、マイアミ、マンハッタンという名前[なまえ]だそうです。テキサス2の2は、テキサス1が去年[きょねん]作[つく]られたからだそうです。テキサスというハンバーガーはチリ･ビーンズが入ってスパイシーなハンバーガーだそうです。
去年[きょねん]テキサス1を売[う]った時[とき]、とても人気[にんき]が出[で]てたくさん売[う]れたそうです。そのためか、去年[きょねん]、日本[にほん]のマクドナルドの売[う]り上[あ]げ(= sales)は過去[かこ] (= in the past; in the history)最高[さいこう] (= the best)だったそうです。

There are four types of Big America such as Texas 2, Idaho, Miami, and Manhattan. The reason why Texas has to be Texas 2 is that the company sold Texas 1 last year. This Texas hamburger is a spicy kind with chilli beans in it.
According to the article in Asahi Shimbun Newspaper, Texas 1 made a big hit last year. Because of this hit and perhaps some other products’ success as well, McDonald’s Japan recorded the biggest sales in its history last year.
