Rice flour donuts

Nagakute-town, Aichi-prefecture has made an effort for prevalence of rice flour for years.

Nagakute town-council had held rice flour recipe competitions for years. Recently it has been modified; namely, the council called for rice flour business plans intending to provide financial support to the person proposing the best idea.

An idea from Ms Takada was recently chosen as one of the best plans in the competition. And then, voila! – last month, Ms Takada managed to make her plan to the real business! She started selling rice flour donuts. Ms Takada’s donuts are made out of all sorts of local crops; leave vegetables called Mana, spinach, carrots, and of course, rice flour!   I read about this on this page of Asahi Shimbun Newspaper. Quite a few kids suffer from gluten allergy these days, so this type of donuts must be most welcomed.  I would definitely like to try it.
