ブライアン･ブレイク氏[し]はニュージーランド人[じん]で有名[ゆうめい]な写真家[しゃしんか] (= photographer)でした。アメリカの雑誌[ざっし]『Life』にたくさん写真[しゃしん]を出[だ]しました。
Brian Brake was a famous New Zealander photographer. He published a lot of photos in a prestigious American magazine Life.
そのブレイク氏[し]の写真展[しゃしんてん]が今[いま]、オークランド･アート･ギャラリーで開[ひら]かれて(= to be held)います。ブレイク氏[し]はニュージーランドで美[うつく]しい写真[しゃしん]をたくさん撮[と]りました。そして、世界[せかい]のあちこちでも写真[しゃしん]を撮[と]りました。上[うえ]の写真[しゃしん]は、アート･ギャラリーの看板[かんばん]です。日本[にほん]で撮[と]った写真[しゃしん]ですよ。そのほか、香港[ほんこん]、インド、いろいろな国[くに]の写真[しゃしん]が展示[てんじ]されて(= to be exhibited)います。
入場[にゅうじょう]無料[むりょう] (= free admission)です。今月[こんげつ]の14日までですからオークランドにいる人[ひと]、オークランドに行[い]ける人[ひと]は是非[ぜひ]行[い]ってみてください。
His photo exhibition is now on in Auckland Art Gallery. You can see a lot of beautiful New Zealand sceneries as well as all sorts of interesting photos taken all over the world. The above photo shows a sign of the gallery; can you guess where the photo was taken? – Yes it was in Japan! Photos taken in Hong Kong and India are also exhibited.
Its admission is free. It will end on the 14th of this month. If you are in Auckland or can go to Auckland, you should go and have a look at those wonderful photos!

We used him as one of the artost models when we did our final NCEA art folios back in high school.
I think he also had an exhibition at Te Papa meusuem in Wellington called “Lenses of the World”.

そうそう、その通り。オークランドで始まる前に、この写真展はウエリントンでありました。その時、「行きたいな～。でもウエリントンは遠いなあ」と思っていたので、オークランドに来た時はとても嬉しかったです。
