ニュージーランドでは、9月1日から春[はる]、と考[かんが]えられています。気温[きおん] (= temperature)も少[すこ]しずつ上[あ]がって、花[はな]もたくさん咲[さ]いて、春[はる]らしくなってきました。
We think that Spring begins on the 1st of September. The temperatures have gradually become higher, we have got all sorts of blossom and we now have Spring!
上[うえ]の写真[しゃしん]は、ナラホヘ山[さん]です。北島[きたじま]中央[ちゅうおう]にあります。今[いま]ニュージーランドは、春[はる]スキーの季節[きせつ]です。北島[きたじま]中央[ちゅうおう]のルアペフ山[さん]にはファカパパ、トゥロアという2つのスキー場[じょう] (= ski field)があります。少[すこ]しずつ暖[あたた]かくなってきていますが、まだ雪[ゆき]はたくさんありますよ!
The above photo shows Mt Ngauruhoe, located in the centre of the North Island. It is now the season of spring skiing in New Zealand. There is another famous mountain in the area called Mt Ruapehu. Mt Ruapehu has two ski fields: Whakapapa and Turoa (The flat area that appears in the photo above is part of Whakapapa Ski Field).
It is becoming warmer here, but there is still plenty of snow there!
