日本[にほん]ではたばこの自販機[じはんき](= vending machine)があります。今[いま]は、子[こ]どもは買[か]えないようになっています（つまり、昔[むかし]は(= in the past)誰[だれ]でも自販機[じはんき]でたばこが買[か]えました）。
ニュージーランドの状況[じょうきょう](= situation)とはとても違[ちが]いますね。
As you can see in the above picture, there are tobaco vending machines in Japan. This machine has some special device and children cannot buy tobaco from it (but anybody could buy from it in the past!)
The situation in Japan in regard to tobaco is quite different from that of New Zealand!

日本にいるときは、あまり不思議に思いませんでしたけど、ニュージーランドなどの状況を見ると、やっぱり問題があるんじゃないか、と思いますよね。
