先日[せんじつ]、お雛様[ひなさま] (= hina-dolls)に関[かん]する(= related to)ニュースを読[よ]みました。
I read a news item related to O-hina sama (= Hina- dolls).
お雛様[ひなさま]については、以前[いぜん]このブログに書[か]きました。3月3日、女[おんな]の子[こ]の健[すこ]やかな成長[せいちょう](= growth)と幸[しあわ]せ(= happiness)を祈[いの]る(= to wish)お祭[まつ]りをします。その時[とき]に、お雛様[ひなさま]を飾[かざ]ります(= to decorate)。朝日[あさひ]新聞[しんぶん]によると、お雛様[ひなさま]を作[つく]る会社[かいしゃ]が今[いま]、とても忙[いそが]しいそうです。これから作[つく]って、お店[みせ]に出荷[しゅっか]する(= to ship)のでしょう。ふつう、お雛様[ひなさま]は2月の中[なか]ごろ(= in the middle of)から飾[かざ]りますから、そろそろお店[みせ]に出[で]始[はじ]めることでしょう。
2012年になったのがつい昨日[きのう]のような(= just like yesterday)気[き]がしますが、時間[じかん]が経[た]つ(= to pass)のははやいです!
I wrote about Hina-dolls here in this blog before. Japanese have a ritual to hold some sort of event on 3 March every year wishing girls’ health and happiness. The households with daughters normally decorate Hina-dolls (shown in the above photo). Asahi Shimbun Newspaper reported that hina-dolls factories are now very busy to prepare for shipping the dolls. The parents have to put Hina-dolls out normally around the middle of February so, I guess, it is time for the dolls to be sent to shops.
I thought 2012 started just like yesterday… Time flies so fast!
