日本では、1日から今日、1月3日までをお正月と考えます。ですから、今日でお正月は終[お]わりです。みなさんは、どんなお正月を過[す]ごしましたか。
In Japan, the new year holiday ends today, the 3rd of January. Did you have a good new year holiday?
ニュージーランドのお正月は、たくさん雨が降[ふ]りました。これからこの1年[ねん]、よい年[とし]になりますように(上[うえ]の写真[しゃしん]は、新年[しんねん]を祝[いわ]う(= to celebrate)花火[はなび](= fireworks)です。ニュージーランドで写真[しゃしん]を撮[と]りました)。
In New Zealand, we experienced rainy windy new year holiday this year. I wish we will have all have a wonderful year this year! (the above photo was taken a few days ago in New Zealand; this was to celebrate the new year!)
