4 Cold food and drink 4

I mentioned our preference for cold dishes in summer; there is another example.

2.jpg

コンビニ(= a convenience store; a 24hr shop)で買[か]いました。

This is called "Zaru soba (cold buckwheat noodle)" purchased at a 24 hr shop in Japan. It was… something like 350yen (about NZD 5).

You can buy this kind of dish at an ordinary small 24 hr shop (of course, only in summer as this is a cold dish, you know). What a convenient life you can have in Japan!
