Have you heard of Kumamon?

Kumamon is a PR character for Kumamoto prefecture. Recently many prefectures in Japan have created cute characters like Kumamon to get attention from people. "Kuma" in the name of Kumamoto Prefecture means "bear"; so that’s why the council decided to create a bear-looking character for their PR, I guess.
Kumamon is actually very popular among children and adults. The above photo is Kumamon-lunch box created by Meg, my friend who lives in Kumamoto Prefecture. It looks cute and delicious, don’t you think? That bear-looking face is Kumamon-rice ball; I am sure you can recognise which one I am talking about. But have you also found a piece of bear-shaped carrot as well?
By the way, Japanese mums and dads often make such cute lunch box. I wrote about it before in this blog page.
