『げんきII』に、「猫[ねこ]の皿[さら]」という読[よ]み物[もの](= reading material)があります。これは、古典[こてん]落語[らくご](= traditional comic monologue)のお話[はなし]です。
インターネットで「猫[ねこ]の皿[さら]」のYouTubeを見[み]つけました。下[した]のYouTubeは、CGのパフォーマンスです。本当[ほんとう]の落語家[らくごか](= comic storyteller)のパフォーマンスではありません。だから、このYouTubeは、わかりやすいです。そして、画面[がめん](= screen)の下[した](= bottom)に、日本語[にほんご]の台詞[せりふ](= words)が出てきます。だから、聞[き]きながら読[よ]むことができます。
本当[ほんとう]の落語[らくご]が見[み]たい!－そういう人はここへアクセスしてください。これは立川[たてかわ]志[し]の輔[すけ]という落語家[らくごか]のパフォーマンスです。ほんもののパフォーマンスです。だから、日本語[にほんご]を勉強[べんきょう]している人[ひと]にはとても難[むずか]しいかもしれません。でも、ほんものですから、とってもおもしろいですよ!!
There is a reading material called "Neko no sara (meaning "a cat’s plate")" in Genki II, a Japanese language textbook published by the Japan Times. For people who do not know "Neko no sara", this is a story for traditional comic monologue performance called Rakugo.
Anyway, I found YouTube video clips performing "Neko no sara" and the above one is one of them. As you can see, this is a CG video clip, not performed by a real person. But because of that, it would be easier than a real one to understand. Also this clip shows sub-titles at the bottom of the screen; this would definitely help!
If you want to see more challenging one – here it is. This is "Neko no sara" performed by Tatekawa Shinosuke. Mr Tatekawa is Rakugoka, a professional comic storyteller. This is a real one and probably very challenging for Japanese language learners. But it is certainly very entertaining!!
