ニュージーランドに春[はる]?、という話[はなし]を前[まえ]に書[か]きました。今[いま]はもう、確[たし]かに(= certainly)春[はる]です!
I wrote that spring might have come here now. Spring has indeed sprung here now!
日本人[にほんじん]はとても桜[さくら]が好[す]きです。そして、桜[さくら]が咲[さ]いたとき、桜[さくら]の木[き]のそばでパーティをします。それを「お花見[はなみ]」と言[い]います。ニュージーランドではそのような習慣[しゅうかん]はありません。残念[ざんねん]ですね。ほかの国[くに]はどうでしょうか。
Japanese people love cherry blossom. We often have a party near the blossom and this is called ohanami. New Zealand people do not have such a habit – what a shame! I wonder if there are any other countries where people hold such a party…
