家の引越し Moving a house

[いえ]の引越[ひっこ]しを今日[きょう]目撃[もくげき]しました(= witnessed)。家[いえ]の中[なか]の人[ひと]が引[]っ越[]すんじゃなくて、家[いえ]が引越[ひっこ]しをするんです。日本[にほん]ではとても珍[めず]しいと思[おも]いますが、ュージーランドでは家[いえ]の引越[ひっこ]しはそんなに珍[めず]しくはないと思[おも]います。でも私[わたし]は今日[きょう][はじ]めて実際[じっさい]に(= actually)見[]ました! ビックリです!!

I saw house moving today. I am not talking about people in a house moving; a house itself moves! This is not so common in Japan, but it is not uncommon here, in New Zealand. I had heard about it before, but this was the first time for me to witness its happening in front of me! Amazing!!
