先日[せんじつ]、日本[にほん]では参議院[さんぎいん] (= upper house)選挙[せんきょ] (= election)がありました。この選挙[せんきょ] については、このブログでも書[か] きました。候補者[こうほしゃ]たち(= candidates)はウェブサイトを使[つか]って有権者[ゆうけんしゃ] (= voters)に投票[とうひょう] (= vote)をお願[ねが]いしました。 As I mentioned here the other day, an upper house election took place in Japan lately. The political parties and candidates set up websites to promote their policies and so on to gain votes.
