ワイカト大学[だいがく]は今年[ことし]、設立[せつりつ]50周年[しゅうねん](= the 50th anniversary)を迎[むか]えました。いろいろなイベントがあります。その1つが大学[だいがく]のキャンパスを走[はし]ったり、歩[ある]いたりする、というもの。
毎週[まいしゅう]月曜日[げつようび]の午後[ごご]5時[じ]にキャンパスに集[あつ]まります。歩[ある]きたい人[ひと]は歩[ある]き、走[はし]りたい人[ひと]は走[はし]ります。参加費[さんかひ](= entry fees)は5ドルで、歩[ある]いたり走[はし]ったりしたあとに、飲[の]み物[もの]があります。詳[くわ]しくはこことここで。
今週[こんしゅう]、早速[さっそく]最初[さいしょ]のイベントがありました（下[した]の写真[しゃしん]を見[み]てください）。約[やく]70人(= about 70 people)が集[あつ]まりました。私[わたし]も参加[さんか]しました。楽[たの]しかったです! ハミルトンにいる人[ひと]、是非[ぜひ]来週[らいしゅう]から参加[さんか]してみてください! このイベントは4月7日まで行[おこな]われます。
The University of Waikato now celebrates the 50th anniversary this year and there are all sorts of events having been organised; one of them is Fun run/walk on campus. It is held every Monday from 5pm. Walkers walk and runners run on campus. The entry fees is 5 dollars and this include a glass of something afterward! The first one was held this Monday (see the picuture above). There were about 70 people participated. I was one of them and enjoyed a lot. Please come along next week if you happen to be in Hamilton. This fun run/walk event will continue until 7 April.
