「ウォールストリートジャーナル」で、アメリカのスターバックスの記事[きじ] (= article)を読[よ]みました。I read an article about Starbucks in US in the Wall Street Journal.
この記事[きじ]によると、スタバでフラットホワイトが最近[さいきん]、メニュに加[くわ]わった(= added)そうです。コーヒー通[つう] (= coffee connoisseur)の人[ひと]たちには不評[ふひょう] (= not popular)だそうです。
私[わたし]はスタバについてはあまり知[し]りません。でも、ニュージーランドでは、どの喫茶店[きっさてん]にもフラットホワイトがあります。そしてとても人気[にんき]のある飲[の]み物[もの]です。私[わたし]は大[だい]好[す]きで毎週[まいしゅう]のように飲[の]んでいますよ。フラットホワイトは、オーストラリアでも人気[にんき]があります。日本[にほん]ではどうなんでしょう。。。
アメリカの人[ひと]は、フラットホワイト、嫌[きら]いなんでしょうか? それとも、本当[ほんとう]においしいフラットホワイトを飲[の]んだことがないのでしょうか。是非[ぜひ]ニュージーランドに来[き]て、おいしいフラットホワイトを飲[の]んでみてほしいです!!

According to the article, flat white (a type of coffee) has appeared on the menu of Starbucks in US lately. Many coffee connoisseurs are no particularly impressed by its new addition.
I do not know much about Starbucks. But when it comes to flat white, I do!! You can order flat white at any cafés in New Zealand; yes, it is indeed popular and delicious here. Flat white is also quite popular in Australia. I wonder the situation in Japan…
Aren’t they, American people, not interested in this type of coffee or have they never tasted the proper one??? I wish they would come here and try our delicious NZ flat white!!
