しかし、日本[にほん]にもにんじんがあったのです! 朝日[あさひ]新聞[しんぶん]で知[し]りました。日本[にほん]のにんじんは、埼玉県[さいたまけん]朝霞市[あさかし]にあります。ウェブサイトのこのページでにんじんの写真[しゃしん]を見[み]ることができます。
オハクネと同[おな]じで（オハクネはニュージーランドのにんじんがあるところ）、朝霞市[あさかし]もおいしいにんじんで有名[ゆうめい]だそうです。おもしろいですね!
But I found another one in Japan! I read an article in Asahi Shimbun Newspaper about giant carrots located in Asaka-city, Saitama-prefecture. You can see a photo of the carrots on this page.
Same as Ohakune (a place that the NZ carrot statue is located), Asaka-city is famous for delicious carrots. Interesting, eh!
