アメリカの大雪[おおゆき]のニュースがありました。アメリカほど大変[たいへん]ではないかもしれませんが、日本にも大雪が降[ふ]っています。事故[じこ](= accidents)も起[お]きています。
私がいちばんびっくりしたのは、沖縄[おきなわ]などの南[みなみ]の地域[ちいき](= areas)に雪が降ったことです。確[たし]かに(= certainly)、日本は今、冬[ふゆ]です。でも、例[たと]えばニュージーランドのレインガ岬[みさき](= cape)に冬に雪が降る、なんて、考[かんが]えられますか!?
本当に、世界[せかい]の天気[てんき]はどうなっているのでしょうか。。。
We have all heard news about heavy snow in U.S. It might not be that much, but Japan has experienced unusual snow fall. A few accidents have occurred all sorts of places.
One of the most unusual things, I think, is that southern towns like Okinawa got snow this time! Okay, it is in the middle of winter in Japan, but can you imagine, somewhere like Cape Reinga, has got snow (if you are familiar with New Zealand geography, you would know how unusual this is)!
