今年、Good Friday が10日ほど前にありました。みなさん、チョコレートやホットクロスバンをたくさん食べましたか。卵[たまご]探[さが]し(= an egg hunt)を楽[たの]しんだ子どもたちもいるでしょう。
さて、日本では復活祭[ふっかつさい](= Easter)はあまり知[し]られて(= known)いません。クリスマスはとても大きな行事[ぎょうじ](= event)になっているのに、復活祭はなぜ知られていないんでしょうか。今週はこのことについて考[かんが]えたいと思います。

Easter is not actually well-known in Japan. You might think it is because there are not so many Christians in Japan, but Christmas is really hugely celebrated in Japan (though, I have to say, it is heavily commercialised…). I would like to think about why Easter is not so known in Japan this week.
