なんとなんとパクチーレモネードなんです。東京[とうきょう]に住んでいる友達[ともだち]が送ってくれた写真です。そう、香菜(= coriander)が入った飲み物です。今、日本ではパクチーがとても流行[はや]っているそうで、エスニック系のレストランではパクチーが入手[にゅうしゅ](= to obtain)できなくて困[こま]っているとか、いろいろなパクチー関連[かんれん]の(= related to)ニュースを聞きます。日本では、何かが人気[にんき]になると、みんなみんなそれをほしがって、あっという間[ま]に入手[にゅうしゅ]困難[こんなん](= hard to obtain)になるんです。日本人の気質[きしつ](= mentality)ですかねえ。。。
ちなみに、このレモネード、おいしいかどうか知りません。飲んだことがある人は、ぜひ教えてください！
Guess what! – this is coriander lemonade; can you believe it!? A friend of mine in Tokyo sent this photo for me. This drink contains fresh coriander! Apparently, coriander is now hot in Japan and everybody wants it ('everybody' might be a bit exaggeration…)! We have heard quite a lot of news related to coriander; e.g., ethnic restaurants have experienced difficulty to get hold of coriander. Once something is mentioned in the media in a certain way; for example, such and such is good for your health, every single person in Japan tries to get it! This seems to be Japanese mentality…
By the way, I do not know what this lemonade tastes like. If you have tried, please let us know!
