若宮さんは、80歳[さい]をすぎてから、プログラミングを勉強し始めました。その後、お年[とし]寄[よ]り(= senior people)でも楽しめるゲーム・アプリを作って、と若[わか]い友人に言ったら「そんなこと、わかりません」と言われてしまいました。そこで「それなら、自分で作ろう！」とひなだん、と呼[よ]ばれるゲーム・アプリを作ったそうです。
ひなだんはとても人気になって、なんと、アメリカにあるアップルに招待[しょうたい]されました(= was invited)。アップルのCEOとも会ったそうです。

Wakamiya-san started learning computer coding when she was 80 years old. One day, one of her friends asked her to create a senior-friendly smartphone game. First, Wakamiya-san talked to her young friends asking them to create one; however, they said they could not imagine what senior people appreciated. Then, Wakamiya-san decided 'why don't I do it!'. Here Hinadan was born!
Hinadan, an app Wakamiya-san created has become popular and it led her to appear at a conference of Apple, US! Wakamiya-san even had a meeting the Apple CEO there!
