Maori and Ainu

Have you heard of Ainu? Ainu is an indigenous language in Japan and very few people can speak it now.
People of the Ainu descent came to New Zealand to meet Maori people and learn how to save their endangered language. This visit gave Maori people an opportunity to learn the Ainu language too.
You can watch their exchange at this Facebook page (the relevant footage was posted on 16 September 2018; please scroll down and find it!). Absolutely fantastic!
