秋の京都 2 Autumn in Kyoto 2
そのすばらしい秋[あき]の景色[けしき](= scenery)のために（昨日の私のブログを見てください!）、京都[きょうと]にはほんと～～～に、大勢[おおぜい](= many)の人たちがいました。今は、少し静[しず]かになっていると思いますが。。。 京都の人気[にんき]、本当[ほんとう]にすごいです! Because of such bearutiful autumn scenery (see my post yesterday!), there were so so so many people in Kyoto. I hope it is a bit calm down there now. It is amazing to see how popular Kyoto is now!

今、日本は夏[なつ]! 夏はお祭[まつり](= festival)の季節[きせつ]です。いろいろな有名[ゆうめい]なお祭がありますが、中でも特[とく]に(= especially)有名[ゆうめい]なのが京都[きょうと]の祇園祭[ぎおんまつり]です。 祇園祭は、京都の八坂[やさか]神社[じんじゃ]のお祭[まつり]です。1000年以上の歴史[れきし]があります。毎年[まいとし]、7月に1か月にわたって、いろいろなお祭の行事[ぎょうじ](= events)があります。以下[いか]の(= the following)動画[どうが](= motion picture)はこの週末[しゅうまつ]に行われた山鉾[やまほこ]巡行[じゅんぎょう]です。すごいですね!
