日本人[にほんじん]は桜[さくら]が大[だい]好[す]きです。今[いま]、日本[にほん]では桜[さくら]の花[はな]がとてもきれいです。今年[ことし]は皇居[こうきょ](= the Imperial Palace)が特別[とくべつ]に(= especially)一般[いっぱん]公開[こうかい](= open to the public)されています。皇居[こうきょ]の中[なか]に、桜[さくら]の木[き]がたくさんあるので、今[いま]、皇居[こうきょ]に行[い]くと桜[さくら]の花[はな]を楽[たの]しむことができます。 この特別[とくべつ]の公開[こうかい]は今週[こんしゅう]で終[お]わります。つまり、昨日[きのう]が公開中[こうかいちゅう]の最後[さいご]の週末[しゅうまつ]だったのです。そのため、なんと！、8万人もの人[ひと]が皇居[こうきょ]を訪[おとず]れたそうです。下[した]の動画[どうが](= motion picture)は、そのニュースです。とてもとても多[おお]くの人[ひと]が並[なら]んでいる(= queuing)のがわかるでしょう。すごいですね!! ニュージーランドはまあ何[なん]とか(= somehow)今[いま]は初夏[しょか](= early summer)、です。まだ時々[ときどき]寒[さむ]い日[ひ]もありますが、夏[なつ]はすぐそこ(= around the corner)、と言[い]ってもいいと思[おも]います。それを証明[しょうめい]する(= to prove)美[うつ]しい写真[しゃしん]を今週[こんしゅう]撮[と]りました! It is a sort of early summer here now, in New Zealand. We still have a cold day sometimes, but I think we can say it is almost summer here now! I took a beautiful picture this week to prove it!
