明日は、8月6日、そう、広島[ひろしま]に原爆[げんばく](= atomic bomb)が落[お]とされた(= dropped)日です。 71年前、バーク・あきこさんは広島にいました。今日のニュージーランド・ヘラルド紙にバークさんの体験[たいけん](= experience)が載[の]っています(= to be published)。バークさんは今オークランドに住んでいます。 この週末[しゅうまつ]、ニュージーランドでも、例[たと]えばオークランドやネイピアで、広島と長崎[ながさき]の原爆[げんばく]投下[とうか](= the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki)の日にあわせて、集[あつ]まり(= gathering)があるそうです。ニュージーランド・ヘラルド紙で読みました。 世界中に平和[へいわ](= peace)が訪[おとず]れます(= to come)ように。 It is 6 August tomorrow – yes, it's the day Hiroshima got an atomic bomb. 日本は今、夏。とても暑いです。でも原発[げんぱつ](= nuclear power)の問題[もんだい](= issues)があるから、節電[せつでん](= saving energy)をしなければいけません。そこで、これ! It is very warm in Japan now.
