今日[きょう]大学[だいがく]に来[く]る時[とき]に、コファイの花[はな]がたくさん咲[さ]いているのに気付[きづ]きました。
I noticed a lot of pretty flowers of Kowhai tree on the way to the university.
これは、ニュージーランド原産[げんざん] (= New Zealand native)の木[き]で、街[まち]のいろいろなところに植[う]えられています。この花[はな]の蜜[みつ] (= nectar)は、鳥[とり]の好物[こうぶつ] (= favourite)です。
春[はる]ですね。
Kowhai is New Zealand native and can be found everywhere. Apparently the nectar of the flowers is many birds’ favourite.

I especially enjoy walking pass Morries Road when I come to uni and go home. There are many cheery trees and they look so pretty!! totemo kireidesu!
