People love 'kawaii' (=cute; pretty) stuff in Japan, and NZ people propbably like 'kawaii' stuff now.
上の写真[しゃしん]は、ニュージーランドにある日本料理のレストランで撮[と]りました。これはデザートで、チョコレートでねこが描[か]かれています。とても日本らしいと思いました。、ニュージーランドでもこの「かわいい」が受[う]け入[い]れられて(= to be accepted)いるのでしょうか。
The above photo was taken in a Japanese restaurant in New Zealand the other day. As you can see, this is a dessert plate and a cat face was drawn there. I thought it's very Japanesee. Does this show that New Zealand people have started adapting 'kawaii' now?
