ニュージーランドのメディアではまったく報道［ほうどう］がありませんが、先週［せんしゅう］東京にある中央大学［ちゅうおうだいがく］という大学でとてもショッキングな事件［じけん］がありました。
簡単［かんたん］に事件を説明［せつめい］すると、中央大学の教授［きょうじゅ］が大学のトイレで刺［さ］されて死亡［しぼう］したのです。今、日本は冬で、大学は後期［こうき］の最中［さいちゅう］です。その教授は先週の水曜日［すいようび］朝［あさ］10時半ごろ、大学のトイレで倒［たお］れているのを学生に発見［はっけん］されました。大学ではいつも通［どお］り、授業［じゅぎょう］が行［おこな］われていました。
まだ犯人［はんにん］は捕［つか］まっていません。早く事件が解決［かいけつ］することを祈［いの］るばかりです。
I read a very shocking piece of news last week on the internet, which, as far as I notice, was not reported here at all. the news was… basically a university professor was murdered on campus in Tokyo, Japan.
The professor worked at a big private university called Chuo Daigaku located in Tokyo. He was found on the floor in a toilet on campus. It is in winter now in the Northern Hemisphere and all sorts of teaching are still going on at universities in Japan; it is still during the B semester over there now. At the time the professor was stubbed, all sorts of lectures, tutorials and so on were going on as usual there; it was around 10.30am on Wednesday…
The case is still under investigation. I just hope the police solves the case soon.
