セイロンライスのレポートを読[よ]みました。
I read a report about Ceylon rice.
これはレストランの紹介[しょうかい]です。朝日[あさひ]新聞[しんぶん]の中[なか]で見[み]つけました。大阪[おおさか]にあるレストランに、セイロンライスというメニューがあるそうです。レポートの中[なか]の写真[しゃしん]を見[み]ると、カレー味[あじ]のリゾットという感[かん]じです。味[あじ]はとてもスパイシーでおいしいそうです。値段[ねだん]は450円で安[やす]い!
面白[おもしろ]いことに、レストランの人[ひと]もなぜこのメニューがセイロンライスという名前[なまえ]なのか、知[し]らないそうです。セイロン島[とう]はスリランカですから、スリランカと関係[かんけい](= connection)があるんでしょうか…。
食[た]べてみたいです。
This is a report of a restaurant found in Asahi Shimbun Newspaper. It says that a restaurant located in Osaka serves a dish called “Ceylon rice”. There is a photo of “Ceylon rice” in the report and it looks like curry-taste risotto. The reporter said it was spicy and delicious. It costs you only 450 yen ( about 7 NZ dollars!) – not bad!!
Interestingly nobody knows why this menu is called as “Ceylon rice” – even the restraint owner has no idea. Sri Lanka is located in Ceylon Island, so do Sri Lankan people eat this dish there???
I would like to taste it!
