羽田[はねだ]国際[こくさい]空港[くうこう]がオープンしました。羽田空港[はねだくうこう]は前[まえ]からありましたが、国内便[こくないびん] (= domestic flights)のための空港[くうこう]でした。今年[ことし]から、国際便[こくさいびん] (= international flights)の発着[はっちゃく] (= departure and arrival)もあるようになりました。いまのところ、アジアの航空会社[こうくうがいしゃ] (シンガポール航空[こうくう]とか、タイ航空[こうくう]とか)の発着[はっちゃく]だけのようですけど。羽田空港[はねだくうこう]は東京[とうきょう]の街中[まちなか] (= the CBD)に近[ちか]いので、成田空港[はねだくうこう]よりも便利[べんり]です。興味[きょうみ]がある人[ひと]は、朝日新聞[あさひしんぶん]のこのページにいろいろな写真[しゃしん]があります。
Haneda International Airport has now opened! As you might know, Haneda Airport has been there for years, but until this year, this airport was used just for domestic flights. Now international flights come there as well although at the moment only Asian companies (e.g., Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways) use this airport. Haneda Airport is quite close to the CBD so it is much more convenient to get there than Narita Airport.
