Another Japanese friend sent me a 3-D new year card. This card shows so-called "Shichi Fuku Jin". "Shichi" means seven, "fuku" means happiness, and "jin" means god. If you look at the picture above closely, you can see seven people in a ship called "Takata bune". You can see a character like "宝" on the sail and this means "treasure".
We traditionally draw this type of picture, put the picture under the pillow on the first day of each year and sleep hoping we would have a nice happy first dream of the year.
