全[すべ]ての喫茶店[きっさてん]ではありません。さて、どのように使[つか]うのでしょう? 喫茶店[きっさてん]でコーヒーを注文[ちゅうもん]してお金[かね]を払[はら]った時[とき]、この道具[どうぐ]を受[う]け取[と]ります(= to receive)。コーヒーができた時[とき]に、この道具[どうぐ]は大[おお]きな音[おと]を出[だ]し始[はじ]めます。そして青[あお]い光[ひかり] (= light)がつきます。上[うえ]の写真[しゃしん]と、昨日[きのう]の写真[しゃしん]を比[くら]べて(= to compare)みてください。上[うえ]の写真[しゃしん]には青[あお]い光[ひかり]がありますが、昨日[きのう]の写真[しゃしん]にはありません。この道具[どうぐ]が音[おと]を出[だ]し始[はじ]めたら、これをもってコーヒーカウンターへ行[い]きます。そして、自分[じぶん]のコーヒーをもらいます。便利[べんり]だと思[おも]いませんか? 多分[たぶん]忙[いそ]しいカジュアルな喫茶店[きっさてん]だけで使[つか]われていると思[おも]います。いい喫茶店[きっさてん]ではお店[みせ]の人[ひと]がコーヒーをテーブルまで持[も]ってきてくれますよね。
日本[にほん]の喫茶店[きっさてん]でも、この道具[どうぐ]、使[つか]われているのでしょうか?
Not every café in New Zealand, I do not think. But I took the above photo in a café in New Zealand. Do you know how it works? When you order a cup of coffee and pay, you receive the above device. When your coffee is ready, the device starts making noise as well as showing lights; please compare two photos – today’s and yesterday’s in this blog – today’s one shows blue lights on it. Then you go to the coffee counter with that noisy device and grub your cup of coffee. Isn’t it neat? I guess this device is used only at casual busy cafés as a waiter/waitress would bring coffee to your table if you are in a proper(?) café.
Do cafés in Japan use this device as well?
