これは「黒[くろ]ゴマ(= black sesame)冷[ひ]やし(= cold)坦々[たんたん]麺[めん](= tantan noodle; "tantan" is originally a Chinese word and I do not know what it means…)」という食[た]べ物[もの]です。日本[にほん]の大学[だいがく]のカフェテリアで食[た]べました。
暑[あつ]い夏[なつ]に、大学[だいがく]のカフェテリアでは特別[とくべつ](= special)メニュがあります。これは少[すこ]し辛[から]い(= spicy)、冷[つめ]たい麺[めん]の料理[りょうり]です。420円でした。日本人[にほんじん]は、夏[なつ]、冷[つめ]たい麺[めん]をよく食[た]べます。

This is called "Cold Tantan Noodle with black sesame flavor" – I ate it at a Japanese university’s cafeteria.
University cafeterias in Japan often serve special summer menu in summer (you know, the Japanese summer is hot and sticky then unbearable sometimes…). So cold dishes like this would be great help! This particular dish was slightly spicy and cost 420 yen (about NZD 7).
