今[いま]、日本[にほん]とニュージーランドの火山[かざん](= volcano)が噴火[ふんか]して(= to erupt)います!
Volcanoes in Japan and New Zealand have erupted now!
日本[にほん]では、鹿児島県[かごしまけん]にある桜島[さくらじま]が、ニュージーランドではホワイト島[とう]という島[しま]の火山[かざん]が噴火[ふんか]しています。ホワイト島[とう]の噴火[ふんか]は、ここで読みました。

噴火[ふんか]が起[お]こると、灰[はい](= ash)があちこちに降[ふ]って本当[ほんとう]に大変[たいへん]です。
