日本で有名[ゆうめい]人[じん]の覚[かく]せい剤[ざい] (kakuseizai is drug)使用[しよう]に関[かん]する(~ ni kansuru is related to ~) 裁判[さいばん] (saiban is trial)がありました。
There was a court case related drug use which a famous celebrity was involved.
元[もと] (moto is former)・歌手[かしゅ]、そして女優[じょゆう]の酒井[さかい]法子[のりこ] (38歳[さい])が覚[かく]せい剤[ざい]使用[しよう]その他[た]の罪[つみ]に問わ[と]れて(tsumi ni towareru is to be accused of ~)、裁判[さいばん]が行[おこな]われました。彼女[かのじょ]は8月に警察[けいさつ]に捕[つか]まりました。以前[いぜん]、歌手[かしゅ]そして女優[じょゆう]としてとても人気[にんき]があり、テレビにもよく出[で]ていました。今[いま]は結婚[けっこん]して子[こ]どもが生[う]まれて、以前[いぜん]のようにテレビに出[で]ることはありませんでした。
彼女[かのじょ]はとてもかわいらしい顔[かお]をして、清純[せいじゅん]なイメージでテレビに出[で]ていたので、日本人[にほんじん]はみんなびっくりしました。そしてそして! このニュースをニュージーランドの新聞[しんぶん]も報[ほう]じていたことに、私[わたし]はとても驚[おどろ]きました。
She, Noriko Sakai, 38 yr, was once very popular as a singer as well as actress not only in Japan but also in other Asian countries such as China and so on. Sakai was accused of inhaling amphetamines etc. and a trial has begun (she was arrested in August). She is now married with a child. Sakai had not appeared in media so often these years (until the arrest, of course!) like her old popular days.
Sakai has a very cute baby face and her cute and a sort of innocent image was very appealing. The arrest of hers in August shocked the nation very much. What I was also surprised today was the NZ newspaper on the Internet reported this news today!!
