京都[きょうと]、と聞[き]いて、何[なに]を一番[いちばん]に思[おも]い出[だ]しますか。What would you imagine first in relation to Kyoto?
多分[たぶん]、お寺[てら]とか神社[じんじゃ]とか、そういう歴史的[れきしてき]なことですよね。なんと、京都[きょうと]は一人[ひとり]当[あ]たり(= per person)のパンの消費量[しょうひりょう] (= consumption)が日本[にほん]の中[なか]で、一番[いちばん]か二番[にばん]、ということだそうです。このページを読[よ]んで初[はじ]めてしりました。京都[きょうと]にはおいしいパン屋[や]さんがたくさんあるそうです。このページには京都[きょうと]のおいしいパンの写真[しゃしん]がたくさんあります。

Probably you would think of temples, shrines, and all sorts of historical things, am I right? Apparently, (I did not know until I read this page lately) Kyoto is ranked as No.1 or 2 in Japan in terms of the bread consumption per head; can you believe it! This page shows a lot of yummy looking Kyoto bread!
The above photo shows a very popular bakery in Hiroshima. This shop sells all sorts of delicious bread. This is one of my best favourite bakeries and I always make sure I visit the bakery whenever I have a chance to go to Hiroshima.
You should try Japanese bread if you have a chance to visit Japan!
