It’s summer and holiday time here now. Unfortunately we recently often hear the news of people lost in mountains and sea. These news remind me of two Japanese climbers who were lost and rescued at Mt. Cook last month – one unfortunately passed away though – the other one survived and held a press conference later. I thought he did not show any particular emotion because he was Japanese. We, Japanese are educated not to show our emotion (particularly negative one) in public. I wonder what New Zealander viewers thought about it.
