今月[こんげつ]から、トヨタの新[あたら]しいプリウスのリース販売[はんばい]が始[はじ]まったそうです。
Toyota started leasing its new (the 4th generation) Prius this month.
新[あたら]しいトヨタのプリウスは「プラグ・イン・ハイブリッド」と言[い]うそうです。このプリウスは4番目[ばんめ]の型[かた] (kata means version)です。これまでのプリウスと違[ちが]う(chigau means different)のは、電気[でんき]だけで走[はし]ることができるということです。新[あたら]しいプリウスには高性能[こうせいのう] (koseno means advanced) のリチウム・バッテリー(=lithium battery) が使[つか]われています。これは普通[ふつう]の家[いえ]で充電[じゅうでん]する(judensuru means to charge)ことができます。100ボルトで充電[じゅうでん]すると3時間[じかん]かかります。そして、この充電[じゅうでん]で、23.4km走[はし]ることができるそうです。この新聞記事[しんぶんきじ]が読[よ]みたい人[ひと]は、どうぞこちらへ。
今[いま]はまだリース(= lease)だけだそうです。リース、いくらなんでしょうか…。
This new Prius is apparently called as Plug-In Hybrid .The biggest difference between this one and the old versions is that the new Prius can run only with electricity. It carries an advanced type of lithium battery. You can charge this at home and it takes only 3 hours at 100V. It enables the car to run 23.4km! At this stage, Toyota only leases this 4th generation Prius (has not started selling it). I wonder how much this lease costs…
