今[いま]、日本[にほん]の東北地方[とうほくちほう]では桜[さくら]がとてもきれいだそうです。朝日[あさひ]新聞[しんぶん]の動画[どうが] (= motion pictures)のページで、岩手県[いわてけん]北上市[きたがみし]の美[うつく]しい桜[さくら]を見ることができます。 It is cherry blossom season in the northern area of Japan. I found this motion picture in Asahi Shimbun Newspaper; it shows beautiful cherry blossom at Kitagami-city, Iwate-prefecture.

(c) ちまんぐる 日本[にほん]の友[とも]だちが、長野[ながの]でこの週末[しゅうまつ]に撮[と]った写真[しゃしん]です。もう3月[がつ]末[すえ]ですが、長野[ながの]ではまだ雪[ゆき]が降[ふ]っています。長野[ながの]は以前[いぜん] (= before)、冬季[とうき] (= winter)オリンピックが開[ひら]かれたところです。 きれいですね! A Japanese friend took this photo in Nagano this weekend. It is at the end of March now, but it still snows there. As you might know, Nagano hosted Winter Olympics years ago. What a beautiful place!
